MapR established in 2009, is one of the world's open source big data software provider three Hadoop, Cloudera and the other two are Hortonworks (2018 the two companies have merged). For a long time, Hadoop is synonymous with big data base, also open source infrastructure software platform and big data. But Hadoop in specific business scenarios still lack a lot of features, and the commercialization of the company Hadoop things done is to improve these features make it better used in enterprise business scenarios.
Although the three companies offer Hadoop-related services, but the business model is different.
