It lacks a serial port (rpm) of the NI MAX

• In NI MAX, the equipment and the serial interface is not available or missing, or I can not create a new serial port.
• When I opened the MAX, I can not see the serial COM port of the computer.

solution

This problem is usually due to the NI-VISA driver is not installed properly due. You must install the NI-VISA version 4.1 or later to resolve this problem
To check whether the NI-VISA installed, open the NI M AX , expand Software ( Software) tab, then check the NI-VISA whether as part of the installed software .

If you do not have NI-VISA, or if your version is lower than 4.1, you can from here to install the latest version of NI VISA.
If NI-VISA version 4.1 or higher installed, try uninstalling the program from the Control Panel Options >> repair NI-VISA . If not, try to upgrade is compatible with your operating system, the latest version of VISA .

If NI-VISA is not installed, MAX can not access or create serial, GPIB-VXI or TCP / IP interface.
Note : a separate installation of NI-VISA runtime engine does not allow you to access the serial port or create in MAX; only the full version of NI-VISA to provide this functionality.
