Oracle Linux 7 Update 7 release

Oracle Linux 7 Update 7 has been released, it has many of the same changes RHEL 7.7, but now also added Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel version 5 update based on the Linux 4.14.35, the default RHEL based Linux kernel 7 3.10 compared There many additional patches.

Oracle Linux 7 Update 7 comes with the following kernel packages, including bug fixes, security fixes and enhancements:

  • Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel (UEK) Release 5 (nuclear 4.14.14.14-1902.3.3.2.7) for x86-64 and aarch64
  • Red Hat Compatible Kernel (RHCK) (kernel -3.10.0-1062.el7) applies only to x86-64

New features

  • NetworkManager: NetworkManager enables you to configure a virtual local area network (VLAN) filtering on the bridge interface, and VLAN defined directly on the port bridge. NetworkManager also add a rule using the GUI to configure policy-based routing functionality.
