Open Distro for Elasticsearch 1.1.0 release, Elasticsearch release

Open Distro for Elasticsearch AWS is open source Elasticsearch release. Version 1.1.0 includes the latest updates ElasticSearch 7.1.1, Kibana upstream open source version 7.1.1, as well as SQL, security, performance analyzers and Kibana plug-in and SQL JDBC driver.

New features

This release provides a number of new plug-ins to be integrated into the application developer, although these plug-ins belong alpha version.

k-NN Search plug-ins: k-NN Search  plug-in will support billions of documents on thousands of high-scale dimensions, low-latency neighbor search, just like running any conventional Elasticearch query as easy. k-NN widget libraries rely on non-metric space (NMSLIB). Apache Lucene development team is extended codec, to introduce a new file format to store vector data. K-NN Search using flexible search criteria mapping and query syntax: To field vector designated as k-NN, just map it to a new k-NN field type k-NN provided by the plug.

Index Management: index management (Index Management) will be able to operate on a regular basis the index operation, eliminating the need to build and manage external systems for these tasks. You will be based on a wildcard indexing schema definition for a custom policy optimization and mobile index. Strategy is finite state automaton, policy definition and a conversion status (operation). The first version of the Index Management will support the forced merger, delete, roll, snapshots, copy count, closed / open, read-only / read-write operations _ and so on. Index Management will be configured via REST or related Kibana plug-ins.

Kibana the UI SQL: SQL Kibana the UI will make it easier for you to run SQL queries and explore data. This plug-in support for SQL syntax highlighting, and in a familiar tabular output format results. SQL Kibana UI will support nested documents, allowing you to expand the column with these documents and deeply nested data. Also with a single click the SQL query into ElasticSearch Query DSL, and query results as a CSV file to download.
