Prometheus is an open source monitoring system, time-series data may be considered to generate accurate data source alert. The project itself is to operate independently of any one company, but were created by SoundCloud former Google employees in 2012. It has developed an active community of developers and users, and is the second after the second Kubernetes accepted Cloud Native Computing Foundation managed projects. Compared with traditional monitoring tools, Prometheus is very dynamic, because it is designed for container rather than a virtual machine built. Users can make a simple, powerful questions that try to be more complicated in other monitoring systems. Users do not need to create multiple queries and receiving time-series data can be pulled together a multi-dimensional response.
