Select Text (visual mode)

• Learning Copy command before, you should first learn how to select the code you want to copy.
• In vi To select text, need to use a visual command to switch to the visual mode .
• vi provides three kinds of visual modes .
• Press ESC can give selected to return to the command mode.

command	mode	Features
v	Visual mode	Start select text from the cursor position in the normal mode
V	Visual line mode	Select the cursor through the complete line Note: hjkl can not use!
ctrl + v	Visual block mode	Vertical selected text

Note:

Visual mode, the movement command can be used in conjunction, for example: ggVG able to select all content.
