What is Kerberos
Kerberos is a network authentication protocol that provides robust authentication solution by using secret-key cryptography, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) offers a free version, it is widely used.
As shown above, KDC consists of three components:
- Authentication Service (Authentication Service): This component is responsible for all user authentication and related operations
- Database Database: This key component of the storage service for all users and networks
- Ticket Granting Server (Ticket Granting Server): This component is responsible for granting users and other services ticket
