Flood Forecasting can help individuals and authorities to better prepare for the protection of people's safety. However, there is no accurate forecasting of floods in many areas. Existing warning system may not be accurate, available, which leads to too many people have not enough information ready before the flood.
In order to increase awareness of the upcoming flood, we use artificial intelligence and computing power to create a better predictive models to predict flooding will occur when and where, and integrate this information into the Google public alert . Various elements - from historical events to the river water level readings, and then to a specific area of terrain and altitude - can enter our model. Then, we generate maps and hundreds of thousands of simulations run at each location. With this information, we have created a river flood forecasting model, not only can more accurately predict when and where flooding occurs, can also predict the severity of floods.
