1. Select Install LaTeX release
There are many hairstyles version LaTeX, TeX Live is one of them. TeX Live is TUG (TeX User Group) maintain and publish the TeX system, can be said to be the "Crown" TeX system. TeX Live can be kept in a cross-operating system platform, cross-user agreement. And TeX Live installed on Ubuntu18.04 is also more convenient.
sudo apt-get install texlive-full
2. Install XeLaTeX compiler engine
sudo apt-get install texlive-xetex
3. Install Chinese support package
Here are installing xeCjK, Chinese processing technology, there are many, xeCJK is a mature and stable.
sudo apt-get install texlive-lang-chinese
4. Installation graphical interface
Graphical interface has TeXworks, TeXmaker TeXstudio and so on, a lot of Ubuntu can be installed directly in the terminal, download and try TeXmaker TeXstudio.
sudo apt-get install texstudio
sudo apt-get install texmaker
One can choose between them.
