Does not support the installed user mode on the same computer installer (.exe) and Windows Installer (.msi) two versions of the UiPath Studio.

The installation package is provided when you first purchase Studio, or can be provided by your account manager or our support team.

important! UiPath collect and use performance data to help diagnose problems and help improve Studio. The data collection and more detailed information on how to select Exit, go to opt out of telemetry page.

Windows Installer (.msi)

There are two installer can help you install Studio on your computer: UiPathPlatformInstaller.exeand UiPathStudio.msi. Between these two is the only difference is mounted UiPathPlatformInstaller.exemay be installed Orchestrator.

Note that can not use command-line parameters to installUiPathPlatformInstaller.exe

Studio is installed in the following locations - C:\Program Files (x86)\UiPath\Studiothus allowing the user to have administrator privileges to install on each computer Studio, but all users can use it.

To change the default installation settings, click the button next to each function, and select one of the following options:

Will be installed on the local hard drive ( installed on the local hard disk) - helps you to install the corresponding function on the local hard disk.
Entire feature will be installed on the local hard drive ( all functions installed on the local hard disk) - corresponding functions installed on the local hard drive, and all its functions.
Entire feature will be unavailable (all of the functions will be unavailable) - corresponding function is not installed

.exe installation - user mode installation

Important In another installation is in progress, start a user-mode installer (.exe) will cause the installation to crash.

UiPathStudioSetup.exeYou install file to run in user mode Studio and Robot (robots) . Installation path %localappdata%\UiPathand all other advanced options have been configured, you can start immediately and run Studio.

Note that user mode installation program does not require administrator privileges, which means that it is a per-user installation, and limited by the permissions they have.
