Linux under the commonly used Chinese input method platform IBus, fcitx and scim. scim is now maintained lag, not recommended.
IBus ( "Intelligent Input Bus") is an input method framework, a system input non-English characters. IBus functions and SCIM and UIM similar. You need a support at least the input method you want to use the language commonly used ibus-pinyin: an intelligent Chinese voice input engine that supports the Pinyin phonetic symbols.
Fcitx (Flexible Input Method Framework) ── fcitx i.e., it is a way to release GPL Input Method platform (i.e., the original G stroke), including stroke, Pinyin (spelling and Larry), two pens, location and other input modules, supporting simple to complex out, is commonly used in the Linux operating system in the Chinese input method. It has the advantage, compatibility dapper, with the program better.
installation
apt-get install Fcitx Fcitx googlepinyin

im-config
Restart the server
reboot
Configure input methods
Test input (using Ctrl + Space switching)
