Solution
Inputservice mysql restart

root@DES:/# service mysql restart
 * Stopping MySQL database server mysqld                                                                         [ OK ]
 * Starting MySQL database server mysqld                                                                                No directory, logging in with HOME=/
                                                                                                                 [ OK ]

Then entermysql

root@DES:/# mysql
