What is RFC

Draft request ( English: R & lt Equest  F. Or  C omments, abbreviation: the RFC ) series memo.

 

The RFC series

contains technical and organizational documents about the Internet, including the specifications and policy documents produced by four streams:

 

the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF),

the Internet Research Task Force (IRTF),

the Internet Architecture Board (IAB),

and Independent Submissions.

 

RFC began in 1969, when attending the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) Stephen Crocker (Stephen D. Crocker) to record the informal documentation on ARPANET developed by, he was the first person to write RFC documents. Eventually evolved into the standard document used to record Internet standards, protocols, processes and the like. Basic Internet communication protocols are described in the RFC document in detail. RFC document also joined a number of additional topics in the standards, for example, all records for the new Internet protocol developed and developing.
