Things about Unity Hub

Managing projects through Unity Hub is convenient and easy to use, but every time you open a project, you have to check the user's license. Newbies who don't know this must be anxious. Here I post my love and death with Unity Hub.

1. Apply for a personal license

1. When we have just installed Unity Hub and use it to open the project, if you do not have permission, you will see the prompt as shown in the figure, which means you do not have a license. Then let's apply for one together

2. First we need to log in to our account, click the small icon of the user ID in the upper right corner of Unity Hub, click Sign in in the pop-up box, enter the user name and password to log in to Unity. Then select "Manage Licenses"

3. Enter the license management page and click "Activate New License"

4. Then select "Unity Personal Edition"-""I do not use Unity in a professional capacity" and click "Finish".

Note:
(1). If it is not the first time to apply, be sure to delete the "C:\ProgramData\Unity" folder and save it here If we do not delete the license we applied for last time, the application may fail

(2). Try not to apply for a license in the company's network environment, otherwise there is a risk of being blocked. .

2. Problems encountered when using Unity Hub

1. "Unity already exists. You cannot load the same version."

(1). First check whether you have logged into Unity Hub with your ID and have a license. If not, log in and apply for a license.
(2). Sometimes it is not because the same version is loaded, even if you restart and reinstall indefinitely, it will be useless. One of the magic tricks is to replug every USB you have.
(3). If the above is still difficult to use, "Control Panel"-"Network and Internet"-"Network Connection", enable the network that has been banned by you

2. "Server not responding"
(1). May be caused by cracking

(2). "This computer"-> "Advanced System Settings"->"Environment Variables"->"System Variables", add a new variable "NODE_TLS_REJECT_UNAUTHORIZED" with a value of 0; if it doesn't work, you can try the same operation on user variables
