Talk about your recent recruitment experience!

I have been working on a new project recently and interviewed many interns. I would like to share some of my "interview" experiences.

Although it is a common topic, I still mention it.

  1. Punctuality is very important: be early, be on time, and don’t be late. During the interview process, since there are different people interviewing at each time, if you are late, firstly, it will affect the interviewer’s recognition of you, and secondly, it will delay others. It seems very unprofessional to cause trouble for others.

  2. Dress appropriately: During the interview, I encountered girls who wore too much makeup, and I also encountered very sloppy boys.

  3. No plan for the future: Many people who come for interviews have not thought about themselves at all. You say you like to do operations, but you have never read a book, like sharing, and don’t have a self-media account.

  4. The resume is not relevant: It is clear that the recruitment is for product operations, but the resume sent is about technology, or there is no content related to the topic at all.

  5. Not looking at the requirements carefully: The working hours and working location have been clearly stated, but the same questions are still asked in repeated communications.

  6. Active follow-up: After the interview, you can take the initiative to ask about the situation. Generally, after the interview, in order to make a more comprehensive assessment, I will take the initiative to ask them to send some supplementary social accounts, content, etc., but many people have completely forgotten it.

  7. Don’t be afraid to ask questions: In fact, the interview is not only about the company evaluating you, but also about you evaluating the company. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, so as to avoid wasting each other’s time.

  8. Be proactive: When you see some high-demand recruitment, you can also try to submit a resume. If you have an interview opportunity, it may even be better than the best. If you don't, there is no loss. Give yourself a chance.

I remember when I was looking for a job in my sophomore year, I also saw my hacker boss’s recruitment on Weibo. Although I was a novice in technology and felt scared, I still mustered up the courage to send in a resume. I didn’t expect to get the job. An interview opportunity and successful employment are still fresh in my memory.

Of course, it was also because of this job that I rejected the offer from Xiaohongshu. This is a story for another day.

In the past two years, it has been really difficult for fresh graduates to find jobs. In the past, I mostly submitted resumes to "junior college students" for interviews, but now almost all of them are "undergraduate" or have internship experience. If readers have student friends, they must go for internships early. Don't worry so much about salary first. After getting an offer, you can practice for some time, have more interviews, and have more contacts. Only then can you better grasp the opportunity when facing the company you want to go to.

If you want to work with me, want to toss in technology, side business, self-media, etc.,
