Chrome on mac prompts to update Adobe Flash and cannot use it normally

If Adobe Flash isn't working properly or you see the error message below, try the troubleshooting steps below.

The Adobe Flash version is too old and has been blocked.
The plug-in cannot be loaded.

Step 1: Start Adobe Flash Player and
open Chrome on your computer.
In the top address bar, type chrome://plugins and press Enter.
Under "Adobe Flash Player," click Enable.
Step 2: Update Adobe Flash Player
Open Chrome on your computer.
In the top address bar, enter chrome://components and press Enter.
Under "Adobe Flash Player," click Check for updates.
Returns a page containing Flash content. If the page doesn't load automatically, click the "Reload" icon in the upper left to reload.
Step 3: Make sure Chrome is the latest version
Open Chrome on your computer.
Click the "More" icon in the upper right corner for more.
Click Update Google Chrome. If you don't see this button, you have the latest version of Chrome.

Step 4: Install Flash Player from Adobe’s website
and open Chrome on your computer.
Go to https://get.adobe.com/cn/flashplayer/otherversions/ .
Under "Step 1," select your computer's operating system.
Under "Step 2," select the option listed as "PPAPI."
Click Download Now and follow the steps to install Adobe Flash Player.
