1. System settings window. This window will pop up when we open the software after we have just installed it. If it does not pop up automatically, we can hold down the keyboard key "F10", and then we can select the required sound card and MIDI driver. (2) Buffer length. We don't need to know much about this window, but I need to understand the role of buffer length. Generally speaking, if the buffer setting is long, the possibility of humming will be greatly reduced, but the response speed of playback will be reduced; if the buffer setting is short, you can get a faster response, but humming may occur. We'd certainly like it to be as short as possible, but it depends on your computer. If your computer has a good sound card and runs fast, we can set it to 10ms. With the innovative SoundBlaster Live sound card, we can set it to 30ms.
(3) In addition, in order to improve the response speed of the operating system, we can use the Use Polling option provided that you are using Windows 95 or 98. But if you are using Windows 2000, it is better not to turn it on.
2. Main window. After the settings are completed, we can see the main window, the start interface of FL Studio. You will find that the FL Studio operation interface is made up of many large windows and small windows nested. Above the main window is the toolbar. The large window contains the browser (left) and beat sequencer (right). We can freely arrange the window positions according to our needs.
3. Play your own music
Click the play button in the window and we will hear the songs that come with FL Studio. If we are not running FL Studio for the first time, we need to reload the song.
