1. NMOS multivibrator

  This is an NMOS transistor, which can form an inverting amplifier circuit through external resistors. Two such inverting amplifier circuits are coupled together through capacitors, so that the circuit forms a symmetrical multivibrator. The basic principle of this circuit is the same as that of a multivibrator composed of ordinary bipolar transistors. Let's simulate it in LTspice.

2. Circuit simulation

  Next, build the above simulation circuit in LTspice. Among them, the MOS tube chooses N-channel IRF2807. Observe the voltage waveforms at the base and drain of the MOS tube. After the simulation starts, you can see that the circuit is oscillating. The drain voltage waveform presents a square wave shape, while the gate voltage fluctuates in an up and down sawtooth manner. Compared with the ordinary crystal multivibrator circuit waveform, the gate voltage signal waveform is quite different.
