Many people forget to back up iOS data, or because the backup time and location are not properly set, they cannot find the backup when they need it. 1. Set up automatic backup
iMazing's automatic backup is generally not turned on by default, but it is easy to forget if automatic backup is not turned on. As a result, the backup is not updated when backup is needed, which is regrettable. In "Options" - "Automatic Backup" - "Change", adjust automatic backup.

It is recommended that you select "Daily" for "Backup Plan". Check the "Time Range" below to select the backup time. The editor recommends that you set it to around 0:00 to 6:00 in the morning to avoid affecting your daily use. Select "10%" or "20%" for "Backup only when the battery meets the following conditions", or you can decide based on the battery usage of your device.

Note: If iMazing performs wireless backup, it needs to be in the same Wi-Fi environment, so for automatic backup, make sure that the device is connected to the computer and have Wi-Fi at the same time, and make sure that the software on the computer is turned on.
- Set backup location
Many times when automatic backup is turned on but the latest backup cannot be found, it is most likely a problem with the backup location settings. The backup location can be adjusted in "Options" - "Backup Location" - "Change".

As shown in Figure 5, you can see that the available space in the "Default Backup Location" is 34.16GB, which is not much free space. Just in case, select "Add Backup Location" in the lower right corner, then select a hard drive with more available space, select it after adding it, and finally click "Select" in the lower right corner to change the storage location successfully.

As shown in Figure 6, if the selected location has insufficient space, clicking "Select" will prompt you with how much space is required and how much available space is available. You can adjust the location based on this value to keep the backup location sufficient.

Set the number of backup archives
Backup archives generally automatically clean up backups from a month ago by default, so they are not very friendly to users who need longer backups. The settings of the backup archive can be modified in "Options" - "Backup Archive" - "Change".

If the user's storage space is large, you can uncheck "Automatically clean up archive backups". Or adjust the deletion time below "1 month" to "1 year", so that only backups from one year ago will be cleared. Or check "Always ask my permission before deleting archive backups" to make archive backups safer and more reliable.
