JetBrains has just released an independent Rust IDE specifically designed for Rust developers: RustRove r .
RustRover supports Rust, Cargo, TOML, web and database technologies, as well as all features of IntelliJ IDEA, including VCS integration.

Prior to the launch of RustRover, JetBrains supported Rust functionality in IntelliJ IDEA and CLion as plug-ins. Now the open source plug-ins they have developed for many years have become the basis of RustRover. The plugin will remain open source and available for free on GitHub and Marketplace.
But in the future, they will invest their energy in the closed source RustRover. For existing open source plug-ins, we will do our best to maintain compatibility with new versions of IDE, but we will not fix bugs or add new features.
In preview, RustRover's plug-in version will be compatible with IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate and CLion. JetBrains is contacting the CLion team to determine availability options for the Rust plugin for CLion closer to the release date.
RustRover will be free during public preview - JetBrains plans to keep the product in public preview until September 2024 at the latest , with the licensing model to be finalized closer to the commercial release date.
