Basic framework of the paper

Thesis word count

• Master's degree thesis: generally 20,000 to 30,000 words for science and engineering disciplines, 30,000 to 40,000 words for management and humanities disciplines, of which the introduction is required to be 3,000 to 5,000 words.

  • The table title is placed on the table and written in both Chinese and English in the middle. Chinese is at the top. It is required to use size 5 fonts.

Writing content

Summary

• Writing content: "What is it", "Why", "How to do it" and "The effect of doing it", that is, the research background and significance, research methods, and research results.
• The Chinese abstract and the English abstract are super important, so don’t translate them randomly.
• Word count: Master's thesis is generally 500 to 1,000 words (preferably no more than one page)
• Keywords: Generally, 3 to 5 keywords are listed, arranged from large to small according to the denotative level of the entry.

Table of contents

• Writing content: The titles of each chapter and each section should be well named, and pay attention to whether the logical structure of the table of contents is reasonable.
• The reviewing teacher checks the writing logic and workload of the paper through the table of contents.

• Writing content: background and significance of the research topic; current research status at home and abroad (overview of literature); research progress and results and existing deficiencies in related fields; main research content.
• Introduction is very important, logic and coherence are very important.

Thesis body

• Writing content:
  • Chapter 2 Overview of Related Knowledge and Technologies
  • Chapter three and four. . . Research content and methods
  • There should be a section "Summary of this chapter" after each chapter in the main body of the paper.

Summarize

• The conclusion summarizes the main results of the entire paper and points out the prospects for further research in this research direction in the future.
• The conclusion of the thesis is not chapter numbered.
• Word count: The conclusion content is generally within 2,000 words.

references

• A master's degree thesis should generally have no less than 40 references, of which no less than 20 are foreign literature. The number of documents in the references in the past five years should generally be no less than 1/3 of the total, and references in the past two years should be included.
