Compared with v1.5.0, v2.0.0 has made great adjustments to the overall UI interface, and we have reorganized the function arrangement. It can be said that Community Edition v2.0.0 has led CloudQuery into a new product stage. Let’s take a closer look below!

Data protection
The first thing I have to mention about the new dynamic desensitization is the highly requested data desensitization function.
Since the advent of the community version, friends have continued to ask for desensitization. This time, in the first version of the v2.0 series, we finally launched the dynamic desensitization function.
The data protection module is dynamic desensitization , which sets desensitization rules for different resources. v2.0.0 supports directly setting masking rules for a field in the table. Masking algorithms include random within range, hiding, random floating, interception, encryption, and replacement.
Data change function
v2.0.0 adds a new data change function. When a small amount of erroneous data is found, a data correction application can be initiated. Data revision supports two methods: **SQL and uploading attachments**. Users can perform SQL checks on the revised SQL.
The data correction mode can ensure the security and accuracy of data changes. All change operations need to go through the work order and SQL review process to avoid misoperation of data.
Connection management function
Connection management refers to configuring the connection to the database server through CloudQuery. After configuring the connection information, you can quickly and easily connect to the database server to operate and manage the database.
v2.0.0 supports users to create or remove database connections , manages PDB-level Schema, and monitors and manages the use of connections.
Authorization management function
The authorization management module of v 2.0.0 can perform authorization operations on connections with enabled resources , including adding new permissions, viewing associated users, viewing the revision history of permissions, etc.
role management
The role management of v2.0.0 defines two layers of roles, namely CloudQuery system role and database management role . The system role is responsible for controlling the relationship between users and system menus, and the database management role controls the relationship between users and business.
System roles are used to allocate CQ system menu permissions, including system administrators, DBA roles, advanced users, ordinary users, and auditors; database management roles are used to allocate function permissions on pages within connection management, and are divided into super administrators, administrators, and ordinary users. .
change Password
Do you still remember the question asked by everyone in the last FAQ about the administrator changing the password? This time v 2.0.0 has launched a password modification function. You can modify the original password on the personal information page.
