Founding Editor-in-Chief of "Wired" magazine. Known affectionately as KK by Chinese readers, he was the editor and publisher of the Global Catalog magazine before founding Wired. He is also a contributor to magazines such as The New York Times, The Economist, Time, and Science. He is the author of "Out of Control", "Inevitability", "What Technology Wants", "The World in 5000 Days", etc. In 1984, KK launched the first hacker conference. Kevin Kelly is regarded as a spokesman and observer of "cyber culture", and some people call him a "technological prophet".
