【3dsmax】Create simple animations

step

1. First open the "Time Configuration" button to set

Here we set the total duration of the animation to 300 frames, which is 10 seconds

After setting up, you can see that the maximum scale of the timeline is 300

The following uses a rectangular parallelepiped as an example to cover the basic production method of animation.

2. First we create a cuboid

3. Turn on Auto Key

Modify the timeline slider from frame 0 to frame 200, and then give the slider a relative displacement

 Unset the key again

The effect of clicking play at this time is as follows:

If we set the cuboid to rotate 45° at frame 120:

The effect at this time is as follows. The cuboid moves + rotates at 0~120 frames.

120~200 frames The cuboid only moves

After 200 frames the cuboid is stationary

If we want two objects to move at the same time, we can create another cuboid and then align and animate them separately.

If these two objects are related, we can set the two objects into a parent-child relationship through linking

First click on the "Select and Link" button

We click on the small cuboid without releasing the left mouse button, and then drag it to the large cuboid. At this time, we set the small cuboid as the child and the large cuboid as the parent.

After we delete all the key frames of the small cuboid, the animation effect is as follows. You can see that the small cuboid will move and rotate as the big cuboid moves and rotates, but the position of the small cuboid relative to the big cuboid has never changed.

If you want to export the animation, click "Tools" -> "Preview - Capture Window" -> "Create Preview Animation"

Export settings can be made

The exported animation is as follows:
