In the years before COVID-19, Mr. Wang Qiheng, CEO of SmartMesh, and Dr. Peter Yan, CEO of MeshBox, surveyed the entire Philippines, from Cagayan in the north to Davao in the south, passing through many beautiful beaches, such as Sorsogon and Boracay, and surrounding areas of Manila. However, due to power outages, cities and tourist destinations cannot provide Internet coverage at all times; the lives of people in surrounding areas will also be affected by the absence of Internet.
In these areas, teenagers cannot access Internet services using smartphones due to lack of Internet access or the inability to afford the cost of building Internet infrastructure.
For places with no or lack of Internet coverage, the quality of life of residents is much worse than that of developed areas. The deployment of HyperMesh infrastructure in such communities can provide advantageous services such as the Internet, e-commerce payment, digital identity, distributed computing, and data storage, thereby improving inclusiveness and allowing the population in the world's unnetworked areas to go online.
