Ubuntu 23.10 nightly builds ship with GNOME 45

The first Beta of GNOME 45 was released last month . According to the plan, the stable version will be released this month.

The daily builds of Ubuntu 23.10, scheduled for release next month, already use GNOME 45, introducing new versions of applications including Nautilus, Settings, and Calendar.

According to omgubuntu , the "Activities" tab in the upper left corner of the GNOME 45 desktop environment has been replaced by an animated workspace indicator. Users can click and slide to switch between different workspaces, and the currently selected workspace will be confirmed in the shape of a pill.

Additionally, GNOME 45's Quick Settings menu has a new keyboard backlight adjustment slider (on compatible devices only; some keyboard backlights are controlled by the keyboard itself, rather than exposed to the OS).
