Qingyuan Workshop丨No.22
Natural Disaster Prediction
In the information age, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies can be used to better predict natural disasters and take targeted measures to mitigate their impact. Meteorologists use large-scale computer simulations to make forecasts, which take hours to complete because scientists have to analyze weather variables — temperature, precipitation, pressure, wind, humidity and cloud cover — one by one.
This seminar on natural disaster prediction invites experts and scholars from the Beijing Meteorological Bureau, enterprises, universities and research institutions to discuss how the new artificial intelligence system can speed up this process and make weather prediction and prediction of extreme weather and other natural disasters more accurate.
