When you travel by Didi online car-hailing, if you receive a reminder from the travel app: do you agree to open the recording and video recording? That is the Jushi device.

It is very difficult for the orange vision device hidden on the back of the rearview mirror to go to the front, so that everyone can see its whole picture. In fact, it looks similar to an ordinary driving recorder, but there are two more important parts, one is the lower left corner The internal camera, and the security help button in the lower right corner.

After understanding the whole picture of Jushi equipment, let us see how it works: the main unit is powered by the vehicle’s 12V battery, monitors the vehicle’s ignition/stop status in real time through the MCU, captures the vehicle’s ACC signal status to control the device’s power on and off, and at the same time Combined with the PMIC power management chip and the voltage of the car battery, the power consumption of the whole machine is finely managed. Each peripheral accessory performs data interaction with the main control chip MTK8665 through a dedicated hardware interface, which promotes the stable operation of the entire Jushi system.

The host part mainly includes: SOC, Cam1, Sim card, TF memory card, GPS, IMU, Mic/Speaker, etc.:

  • SOC: MTK8665 system-level automotive chip, the brain of Jushi equipment, responsible for system operation and AI monitoring;

  • Cam1: 1080P high-definition camera outside the car, providing the driver with the function of a driving recorder, and inputting the collected road condition information outside the car to the AI-ADAS engine in the SOC, making the camera intelligent, providing collision warning, distance maintenance, and brake reminder and other auxiliary driving functions;

  • Sim card: responsible for communicating with the Didi background, and interacting with Didi Security Center for audio and video data as needed according to the received instructions and device status;

  • TF card: complete local audio and video storage, the driver can extract the driving video outside the car in the TF card through the WiFi connection device;

  • IMU: 6-axis attitude sensor, based on the read data information, judges driving behaviors such as rapid acceleration, rapid deceleration, and sharp turns, optimizes driving behavior, and improves driver experience;

  • GPS: Beidou/GPS dual-mode positioning, providing positioning performance superior to that of mobile phones, combined with the traffic information outside the vehicle at the same time, providing the ability to analyze traffic big data;

  • Mic/Speaker: collect audio data in the order, and broadcast warning information on demand to remind drivers and passengers of traffic safety;



  • Cam2: wide-angle camera in the car, composed of lens, Sensor, ISP, night fill light, photosensitive device and other components. The light sensor can sense the brightness information of the car environment, couple the order logic, and turn on/off the fill light as needed to ensure nighttime In the dark scene, the video recording inside the car is clearly visible.

The in-car camera is an important tool for Jushi’s driver safety. It is mainly responsible for the in-car video during the trip, which is used for judgment and evidence collection. All the content it sees will be encrypted and stored. If there is no compliance and evidence collection requirements, no matter what The Didi platform, car owners, passengers and any third parties cannot view it, and it will be deleted regularly.

Cooperating with the management and control capabilities of online car-hailing, coupled with Jushi's remote voice broadcast function, through technical means, we can ensure that within the order, the internal camera is in a continuous, stable, and high-quality monitoring state. Deter criminals and ensure the safety of drivers and passengers.

In addition, it will also pay attention to the driver's eyes and mouth, capture the driver's blinking, closing eyes, yawning and other states within a certain period of time, use intelligent algorithms to judge whether the driver is tired, and issue a voice reminder to remind the driver to rest in time and adjust state. During the epidemic, Didi's AI team also developed a mask monitoring algorithm based on the Jushi in-vehicle camera to effectively prevent the spread of the new crown epidemic and ensure the safety of drivers and passengers.

Finally, there is the inconspicuous safety help button. In fact, it also has a great effect on Didi drivers. Let me tell you a true story: Last year, Didi driver Master Li was in the process of receiving an order. Because it was dark and he could not see the road conditions clearly, the whole car fell into a pond. At this time, the driver suddenly remembered that we equipped him with a safety help button, and he pressed the button decisively.
