Mojo, a programming language created by AI infrastructure company Modular AI, combines the syntax of Python with the portability and performance of C, with the goal of making it ideal for AI research and production.
Mojo's ability to leverage MLIR enables Mojo developers to leverage vectors, threads, and AI hardware units. According to tests, Mojo is 35000 times faster than Python.
Today, Modular AI announced the successful financing of $100 million, which is said to be the second round of financing after the $30 million financing last year.
Modular AI said their future vision is to provide AI infrastructure for global developers through AI engine and Mojo.
