Nginx service installation and construction

Preface:
Nginx ("engine x") is a high-performance Web and reverse proxy server developed by Russian programmer Igor Sysoev, and it is also an IMAP/POP3/SMTP proxy server.

In the case of high connection concurrency, Nginx is a good substitute for Apache server

Nginx installation

System platform: CentOS release 7 (Final) 64-bit.

1. Install compilation tools and library files

yum -y install make zlib zlib-devel gcc-c++ libtool  openssl openssl-devel

Second, first install PCRE

The role of PCRE is to enable Nginx to support the Rewrite function.

1. Download PCRE installation package
Download address: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/pcre/pcre/8.35/pcre-8.35.tar.gz

[root@liulihui Software]# cd /usr/local/Software/
[root@liulihui Software]# wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/pcre/pcre/8.35/pcre-8.35.tar.gz

2. Unzip the installation package:

[root@liulihui Software]# tar zxvf pcre-8.35.tar.gz -C /usr/local/

3. Enter the installation package directory

[root@liulihui local]# cd pcre-8.35

4. Compile and install

[root@liulihui pcre-8.35]# ./configure
[root@liulihui pcre-8.35]# make && make install

5. View pcre version

[root@liulihui pcre-8.35]# pcre-config --version
8.35

Install Nginx

1. Download Nginx;
download link: https://nginx.org/en/download.html

[root@liulihui Software]# cd /usr/local/Software/
[root@liulihui Software]# wget http://nginx.org/download/nginx-1.6.2.tar.gz

2. Unzip the installation package:

[root@liulihui Software]# tar zxvf nginx-1.6.2.tar.gz -C /usr/local/

3. Enter the installation package directory

[root@liulihui local]# cd nginx-1.6.2/

4. Compile and install

[root@liulihui nginx-1.6.2]# ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/nginx --with-http_stub_status_module --with-http_ssl_module --with-pcre=/usr/local/pcre-8.35
[root@liulihui nginx-1.6.2]# make
[root@liulihui nginx-1.6.2]# make install

5. Check the nginx version

[root@liulihui nginx-1.6.2]# /usr/local/nginx/sbin/nginx -v
nginx version: nginx/1.6.2

6. View the nginx configuration file

[root@liulihui nginx-1.6.2]# cd /usr/local/nginx
[root@liulihui nginx]# ls
conf  html  logs  sbin

At this point, nginx installation is complete.

Nginx configuration
Create the user root used by Nginx to run

[root@liulihui conf]# /usr/sbin/groupadd root 

Configure nginx.conf, replace /usr/local/nginx/conf/nginx.conf with the following

Check the correctness of the configuration file nginx.conf command:

[root@liulihui conf]# /usr/local/nginx/sbin/nginx -t
[root@liulihui conf]# /usr/local/nginx/sbin/nginx -t
nginx: the configuration file /usr/local/nginx/conf/nginx.conf syntax is ok
nginx: configuration file /usr/local/nginx/conf/nginx.conf test is successful

Start Nginx
The Nginx startup command is as follows:

[root@liulihui conf]# /usr/local/nginx/sbin/nginx

Visit the site
Visit our configured site ip from the browser:

Other commands of Nginx
The following commands are commonly used by Nginx:

/usr/local/nginx/sbin/nginx -s reload            # 重新载入配置文件
/usr/local/nginx/sbin/nginx -s reopen            # 重启 Nginx
/usr/local/nginx/sbin/nginx -s stop              # 停止 Nginx
