IP Address Monitoring Tool

Address Monitor Utility is a set of IP tools including IP Address Monitor Tool, Rogue Detection Tool and MAC Address Resolver for daily monitoring and management of DNS names, IP and MAC addresses. Address monitoring tool for IP monitoring to manage DNS names, IP and MAC addresses of your network, and track IP addresses.

IP Address Monitoring Tool

OpUtils provides the following utilities to perform address monitoring operations, IP address monitoring tools included in this category include:

  • IP Address Manager : A utility that helps administrators keep track of all IPs through periodic address space scans and IP address monitoring.
  • Rogue Detection : A utility that periodically scans routers, subnets, switches, gateway servers, etc. and detects wireless/wired rogue systems, devices, access points, etc.
  • MAC Address Resolver : A utility that resolves MAC addresses from hostnames and vice versa. This tool can also discover the physical address of the device and map it with the corresponding IP.
  • DHCP Scope Monitor : A utility to find used and available IPs in a DHCP server's scope.
  • DNS Resolver : A general-purpose data query tool, mainly used to convert hostnames to IPs and vice versa.
  • DNS Scan : A utility for scanning a range of IP addresses to convert them into domain names.
  • MAC IP List : A utility to obtain a list of MAC and IP addresses on the network.

IP address manager

  • Using network IP address monitoring, network engineers can determine whether an IP address is currently available.
  • IP address monitoring software helps to manage IP addresses in static DNS environment with predefined user policies.
  • IP address monitoring tools help monitor IPs by scanning a subnet and providing the availability status of IP addresses on that subnet. Can check if a specific IP is reserved or available, it also helps to detect IP address conflicts.
  • The IP address monitoring tool accepts multiple subnet inputs which helps to scan the entire network for the status of the IP addresses.
  • IP Address Manager provides comprehensive visibility into performance metrics and utilization of each subnet and helps administrators track and monitor IP addresses.
  • You can use IP Address Monitor to browse the agile tree hierarchy based on IP subnets to view the availability and status of IP addresses in each subnet.

Malicious Device Detection

When IP monitoring software is able to periodically or manually scan subnets and IP address spaces to monitor IP addresses and detect new MAC addresses in the network. Any suspicious devices are added to this result as malicious. Initially, all discovered MAC addresses will be displayed here. An administrator must verify the list and remove valid devices. This is a one-time configuration after scanning the entire network. Later, if any new MAC addresses are found during the scan, they will be listed here.

Network IP address monitoring tools periodically scan routers and subnets to detect any new systems/devices found in the network. Initially, it lists all systems/devices discovered in the network. The administrator must verify and tag all valid systems/devices in the network.

MAC address parser

The MAC address resolver can use the provided IP address to learn the MAC address of any SNMP-enabled node. You can drill down to device specific details for IPs discovered by IP Address Monitor. This MAC address monitoring tool can also discover the physical address of the device and map it with the corresponding IP address. In addition to displaying the MAC address, the tool also displays SNMP availability, IP address, DNS name, port number, community, system type, and system description.

DHCP scope monitoring

DHCP Scope Monitor is an IP address monitoring tool that extracts all scopes defined in a DHCP server and displays the total (used and available) IP addresses in each scope. When the number of available IP addresses falls below the defined value, the display will turn red to indicate criticality.

MAC IP list

IP Address Monitoring by OpUtils allows broadcasting periodic queries to routers and subnets defined in router settings and collects information such as the device's MAC address, IP address, type and DNS name and stores it in a database. The data is also updated whenever a scan is performed on a given IP range. The data is presented in tabular form, showing details of the information collected and when the data was updated.

DNS resolver

Network engineers can use DNS resolvers to quickly obtain the hostname of any node whose IP address is known, and vice versa. This IP address monitoring software also displays detailed information such as default netmask, network type, and the status of forward and reverse lookups.

DNS scanning

Using the DNS scanning tool, OpUtils' IP Address Monitor can be used to scan a range of IP addresses to see if forward and reverse lookup operations are available for the device. It also shows response time. If IP is not used in the network, the monitor IP address tool will indicate that the system does not exist in the network.

OpUtils IP Address Monitoring Tool helps administrators effectively monitor IP addresses and MAC addresses of network address space.
