This project implements the capabilities and addressability of the public IPFS network without relying on it.
In July, Nebulus (ht (water drop cloud) tps://nebu (water drop cloud) lus.dev/) was released as a "virtual IPFS" network. It is also known as the "IPFS-less IPFS" (IPFS-less IPFS) network. This project allows users to leverage the logic and content addressability of IPFS without using the public IPFS network .
Virtual IPFS network
The well-known IPFS network in the ecology is actually a combination of two features, one is content addressable storage (Content Addressable Storage), and the other is a peer-to-peer network .
"Addressable storage of content" refers to the logic used by IPFS to organize, store and reference data. This is largely down to the use of Content Identification (CID), which allows files to be located by their content (rather than by their location on the web).

Content addressability is fundamental to building long-term active and usable information networks that are not affected by the disappearance of specific locations such as web pages.

"Peer-to-peer network" refers to the public, permissionless global IPFS network. On IPFS, any user can access information on the network.
