In-depth analysis of UI/UX design in APP development

As a UI/UX designer, in addition to paying attention to UI/UX design, you must also master the knowledge of mobile development. At the same time, you also need to have a certain understanding of user experience in your daily work. In this sharing, the author focuses on I will summarize some of the experience I have accumulated in my work, hoping to help designers and friends.

1. What is UI?

UI (User Interface) is the user interface, which refers to the interface where the product and the user directly interact, and is the bridge between the product and the user. Simply put, it is the dialogue window between you and the user, which is also the carrier for the user to interact with the product.

In the mobile Internet era, the user interface occupies a very important position in the APP. In the APP design process, UI design also runs through the entire project cycle. For an APP, the UI design is divided into multiple pages such as home page, message, jump, search, classification, and list.

Therefore, there are many factors that need to be considered during design, such as page structure, information hierarchy, font size, picture size, etc. These factors directly determine whether a page can attract users' attention.

2. What is the goal of UI design?

The goal of UI design is to convey product information to users, so users will be influenced by various information when using the product. Through the processing of these information, UI designers enable users to see and hear this information when using the product, so as to understand the product.

During the design process, designers must take into account the habits and needs of users, and try to provide users with a comfortable, easy-to-use and safe experience. These requirements may change, and UI designers also need to constantly adjust UI design with user needs and business development to adapt to product development.

For example, if a mobile app is designed for mobile phone enthusiasts, their interface design will be more minimalist, and users can focus more on core functions by reducing the display of useless information.

Three, UI design can be divided into several stages?

UI design can be divided into three stages: preliminary preparation, design implementation and test launch.

Preliminary preparation: This refers to determining the requirements. This stage is mainly to formulate the goals of UI/UX design according to the company's strategic direction and product positioning.

Design implementation: This stage is to formulate a specific implementation plan according to the product planning, mainly based on the detailed design based on the requirements document given by the product manager. The designed solution needs to be tested and launched. Only after passing the test can it be launched.

Test launch: This stage is mainly for the final test and verification of the UI/UX design scheme to ensure that the scheme can achieve the expected goals.

4. What is the workflow of a UI designer?

UI/UX designers generally have the following stages in their work:

1. Determine requirements and draw sketches

2. Carry out page prototype design and interaction design

3 Communicate with the developer and complete the page design

4. Carry out the UI design of the whole case and provide suggestions to the company

5 Communicate with the product manager to determine the product style and details

6. Communicate with the visual designer to determine the visual style

7. Project follow-up and acceptance, complete work handover

5. What is the definition and scope of UX design (user experience)?

UX design is to plan and design the user's experience when using the product, to communicate with the user through the experience, to discover and solve problems, and to make the user use the product more conveniently and efficiently. UX design mainly focuses on the user's experience and feelings about the product, rather than the product itself.
