1 Introduction
In recent years, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the implementation of applications, the surge of innovation, the continuous accumulation of data and other factors, my country has also seen the vigorous development of AI medical field in the field of medical industry. With the advent of the "digital age", all fields are in the wave of technological revolution. During the digital transformation period, upstream and downstream cooperation in the industrial chain, industrial interconnection, and model innovation have also become an important feature of the current medical IT field. There are many technological breakthroughs and innovations in many medical fields such as information technology, biomedicine, drug development, pharmaceutical preparations, rehabilitation therapy, and diagnostic testing. Among them, with the advent of the digital age, AI models based on machine learning are becoming the mainstream direction. Using this technology, clinical decision-making and patient management of human doctors can be realized. This will bring huge profit growth to medical institutions and enhance the competitiveness and economic benefits of the entire medical industry. As leaders in the AI medical field, technology giants such as Huawei, Tencent, Microsoft, Baidu, and Alibaba have deployed in the medical IT field and launched AI products and services of their own brands. Moreover, even the United States is a company that applies AI technology to the medical field. Around the field of artificial intelligence and medical care, a group of entrepreneurs embracing changes have emerged to jointly create a new system of "Medical Cloud +" and build a full-scenario solution from the patient end to the nursing end. However, on the other hand, we need to understand how much value and practical significance artificial intelligence can bring. What kind of impact will AI medical treatment have on society and economy brought about by the change of the entire medical industry? How do we achieve this goal? What challenges will AI medical technology face? If we want to make full use of artificial intelligence, we must take a step forward and carry out technological innovation in different technical fields. This is an important topic, and it is the core topic of this column. In order to better understand and discuss this issue, the author specially invited two academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, namely Sun Jian and Wang Jianhong. In this article, they will use their professional knowledge and experience to present to readers their views on the future of AI medical care, technological innovation and industry transformation.
