If I look back at my 2022 in the form of code, I installed a plug-in-Wakatime on the VScode editor about a year ago to record my coding. At the end of 2202, Waka’s official website sent an email, reviewing my coding time in a year, carefully reading the recorded data, and the coding time reached 500+hs, with an average of 2 hours per day, so I roughly recalled what I did in the next 22 years.

1-3 months

I started working mainly for a period of time. During this period, I learned a lot of code and things other than code, including the development process outside of code, the way and attitude of communicating with people, and opening my own horizons. During the holidays, including the Spring Festival, I have been studying the 15213 course of CMU and doing the supporting customs clearance exercises, and packaged the learning records and uploaded them as my own github project. Then in March, due to the outbreak of the epidemic in Shenzhen, I could only stay in the school, and the students stopped returning to school, and I also resigned because I could not leave school.

April-June

Because this year requires the writing of thesis and the preparation of the later autumn recruitment, I began to prepare to expand my skill stack. During this period, I am modifying my thesis on the one hand, and on the other hand I am preparing to write questions. Judging from the number of code submissions, this March is a time for typing codes more frequently. From starting to do questions and writing my own projects every day, to slowly focusing on my own CPP and the underlying characteristics of the language. While studying, slowly form your own project when applying for a job.

July-September

With more unknowns, doubts and panic, I started to prepare for the post I needed, and then I started to prepare for the written test and interview. I wasted some opportunities, and I was lucky to get some opportunities that I wanted. I still remember that the first interview was an opportunity given by Baidu. I got the approval of the interviewer and gave me a lot of confidence. Later, I asked the interviewer questions including the general direction I needed to prepare. I felt very happy in this interview. Thanks to the big guy from Baidu for the opportunity, so that even if I encountered some pua moments later, I knew what level I was at, and I knew what I was familiar with and what I was not familiar with. Through the interview, I gradually realized that I was not familiar enough with that area of knowledge, and then I went to understand this area of knowledge in depth, and then gradually entered the state, and correspondingly received positive feedback from some companies. In short, this time is spent in busyness and worry.

October-December

During this period of time, I wrote less code, most of which were reviewing previous code ideas and doing a lot of interview summaries. It's more about the anxiety of choice, some have sent emails, and some are still waiting. Fortunately, with the help of friends around me, I found the direction and path I wanted to go. In short, it is a stage of exploration and selection. In the back, there are scattered interviews, and the preparation of the final graduation thesis ideas.

postscript

Look back and forth at your own 2022 from the perspective of code. The process is difficult, and the difficulty lies not in the difficulty in learning, but in the fact that the initial goal is not clear enough, the attitude is not firm enough, and I have too many choices. In the future, slowly find the path you need to take, and then go on your way, it will be full of fun of learning and surprises in contact with the outside world. Even though the amount of code is small, I really learned a lot of useful knowledge and met many technical leaders.

Outlook 2023

Let's end with a sentence from Teacher Pan Luan: When you die every day, you should regard climbing as a practice. The road ahead is not crowded, because there are really not many people who persist. Next year, just wait for the next year. Our generation only needs to find the direction and work hard, and fate has its own arrangements.
