Zilliz Cloud provides access control. You can flexibly manage users, assign different roles to users, and grant users different permissions to access and operate cluster resources. Unprivileged users cannot access certain resources.
Organization and Project
Zilliz Cloud implements access control and resource separation through organizations and projects.
Organization is the highest level in Zilliz Cloud, which contains projects and members. In most cases, you can set up organizations based on companies or other groupings.
A project is an organizational concept used to group clusters and related resources. Data for each project within the organization is segregated from each other. In most cases, you can set up projects based on departments or teams in your company. Within each project, one or more clusters can be created. A query or search operation is only for a specific item.
