After a computer has been used for a long time, it is inevitable that the running speed will slow down. One of the reasons is that the hardware is old and bad, and another reason is that there are a lot of disk fragments, which leads to slow down. For this, we can speed up the system by defragmenting the disk run. This article will take the Win7 system as an example to introduce the operation of defragmenting the disk. |
How to defragment a disk
1. First, double-click the computer. After entering the computer, you will see a disk that has been partitioned. Select the disk you want to clean (take the C disk as an example) and right-click.
2. Click Properties, and the properties interface dialog box will pop up as shown in the figure below, and you can see that there will be a disk cleanup under the normal setting.
3. Click Disk Cleanup to display the interface as shown below, and scan the hard disk you need to clean up.
4. After the scan is completed, a dialog box will pop up, showing which files are redundant and can be deleted. Here Win7 is very user-friendly, and you can selectively delete them yourself.
5. After selecting, click OK, and then a dialog box will pop up, and then choose to delete the file.
6. Then the system will clean up by itself, the picture below is the cleaning interface (this process may take several minutes or longer, depending on the size of the files you want to clean up).
7. After cleaning, a dialog box will pop up for us to confirm. We can see that the used space has been reduced, and some space has been freed up, which can make our computer run faster.
Defragment Disk Method 2
1. Click Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Disk Defragmenter
2. The disk defragmentation program pops up, and you can see buttons such as configuration plan, disk analysis, defragmentation, etc.
3. Click on the configuration plan to see the setting of automatic disk defragmentation every week (again see the humanization of Win7), of course, if you don’t like it, you can not entertain this plan
4. Select the disk you are organizing or analyzing to organize and analyze.
5. You can see that the disk has been cleaned up.
The two methods introduced above can help users to defragment the disk. If the user uses the computer frequently, it is especially necessary to defragment the disk regularly. Only in this way can the operating speed of the computer system be better improved.
