Discussion on the pressure and medium temperature in the design of the first-class electromechanical pipeline

Piping design is a very important part of engineering design. The design of piping needs to take into account many factors, including piping design pressure classification and medium temperature classification. These two factors must be considered very strictly when designing pipelines.

The first is the design pressure classification of pipelines. In pipeline design, depending on the working requirements and the medium to be transmitted, the design pressure of the pipeline will be different. The pressure classification we generally use is: vacuum, low pressure, medium pressure, high pressure and ultra high pressure.

(1) Vacuum pipeline: generally refers to the pipeline with p<0.

(2) Low-pressure pipeline: generally refers to the pipeline with 0≤p≤1.6MPa.

(3) Medium pressure pipeline: generally refers to the pipeline of 1.6MPa<p≤10MPa.

(4) High-pressure pipeline: generally refers to the pipeline of 10MPa<p≤100MPa.

(5) Ultra-high pressure pipeline: generally refers to the pipeline with p>100MPa.
The classification of medium temperature refers to dividing it into different temperature levels according to the working temperature of the medium when designing the pipeline. The commonly used temperature classifications are: low temperature, normal temperature, medium temperature and high temperature.

1) Low-temperature pipeline: the working temperature is below -40°C.

2) Normal temperature pipeline: the working temperature is between -40 and 120°C.

3) Medium-temperature pipeline: the working temperature is between 121 and 450°C.

4) High temperature pipeline: the working temperature exceeds 450°C.

Different classifications have a very important impact on the design and construction of pipelines. For example, when designing low-pressure pipelines, in terms of ensuring the structural strength and corrosion resistance of the pipeline, low-cost materials can be given priority, which can effectively reduce the cost and cost; while designing high-pressure and ultra-high pressure pipelines, it is necessary to use more High-strength materials and more stringent process requirements to ensure the safe operation of the pipeline.

Pipeline design pressure classification and medium temperature classification are very important factors in pipeline design. The design and construction of pipelines need to be strictly controlled on these two factors to ensure the safety and efficiency of pipeline operation.
