introduction
The development environment for the front-end (northbound development) of the Hongmeng application is the HUAWEI DevEco Studio provided by Huawei. DevEco Studio supports Windows and macOS systems. This article records the installation process of DevEco Studio 3.0 Beta2 on the Windows operating system.

1. Windows environment
In order to ensure the normal operation of DevEco Studio, it is recommended that the computer configuration meet the following requirements:
(1) Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit
(2) Memory: 8GB and above
(3) Hard disk: 100GB and above
(4) Resolution: 1280*800 pixels and above
2. Download the installation package
1. Enter the product page of DevEco Studio:
https://developer.harmonyos.com/cn/develop/deveco-studio
2. Find and download the Windows version of DevEco Studio 3.0 Beta2 in the historical version: devecostudio-windows-tool-3.0.0.800.zip.
3. Basic installation process
1. Unzip devecostudio-windows-tool-3.0.0.800.zip to get the installation program: deveco-studio-3.0.0.800.exe.
2. Double-click to run the installation program deveco-studio-3.0.0.800.exe to start installing DevEco Studio.
3. Restart the computer.
4. Start DevEco Studio for the first time (double-click the DevEco Studio 3.0.0.800 icon on the desktop). Note: Make sure that the computer can connect to the Internet, because after starting DevEco Studio for the first time, it will automatically download and install the latest version of SDK that matches the version of DevEco Studio.
5. At this point, the installation is basically completed. The picture above is the first interface after starting DevEco Studio each time. Click the first icon in the lower left corner to see the software upgrade prompt (when this article was published, it was already possible to upgrade to DevEco Studio 3.0 Beta4, and the upgrade will not be done temporarily); Click the second icon (Configure) to configure the software. Close this window and exit DevEco Studio.
4. Manually install the SDK
1. Start DevEco Studio, click the second icon (Configure) in the lower left corner of the first interface, select it in the pop-up menu Settings, and select it in the left navigation bar in the opened window HarmonyOS Legacy SDK.
2. Click Next all the way, and finally click Finish.
3. Then you can choose to install other SDKs as shown in the figure below.
5. Sinicization
The default language used by DevEco Studio after installation is English, you can also switch to Chinese, the method is as follows:
1. After starting DevEco Studio, click the second icon (Configure) in the lower left corner of the first interface, select from the pop-up menu , find and check Pluginsthe installed plug-ins , and click OK.Chinese(Simplified)
2. In the pop-up window, choose to restart the software.
3. After the software restarts, it will switch to Chinese.
4. Follow similar steps to Chinese(Simplified)cancel the plug-in, and then restart the software to switch back to English.
