On the eve of MWC Shanghai, GSMA announced that China's three major operators have joined the global Open Gateway initiative

On June 25, GSMA held a press conference in Shanghai. GSMA Chairman Mats Granryd, GSMA Chief Marketing Officer Lara Dewar and GSMA Greater China President Sihan attended the meeting. This year coincides with the 10th anniversary of MWC Shanghai. The exhibition will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) from June 28th to 30th. Nearly 300 exhibitors, sponsors and partners will participate.

GSMA President Graede said at the press conference: "Visiting MWC in person will be the most exciting experience. The GSMA announced at a press conference that China's three major operators - China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom - have joined the GSMA Open Gateway initiative. GSMA Open Gateway is a global network application programming interface (API) framework designed to provide developers with universal access to operator networks. The framework is supported by nearly 30 mobile operators worldwide, accounting for approximately 60% of global mobile connections.

Highlights of MWC Shanghai

At the press conference, GSMA highlighted the colorful agenda of MWC Shanghai, including this year's keynote speeches and different themes of the five pavilions, where attendees can explore and swim in new and popular exhibition areas.

The exhibition area with the theme of "Digital Shanghai" will make its debut in Hall N5. The Digital Shanghai exhibition area will showcase the innovative achievements of Chinese industries and highlight Shanghai's international technological vision. Our first Future Eco-Pavilion at N4 will focus on innovations in the broader mobile ecosystem. Here, Chinese operators will showcase their ecology with partners, and Lenovo Group will also exhibit for the first time with the popular Qitian Group, Juxing Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., CITIC Telecom International Co., Ltd. and Ruijie Networks Co., Ltd.

The prestigious Super Brand Pavilion and the " 5G IN Innovation Zone " , an area and stage for start-ups, will also return as the most popular exhibition areas. The super pavilion brings together companies such as China Mobile, China Telecom, ZTE, New H3C Group and China Xinke, while the "5G IN Innovation Zone" will bring together start-ups and investors to demonstrate how 5G can empower the hottest innovations .
