The solution to the problem that the usb and camera in VMware's Ubuntu cannot be recognized (gray)

A little suggestion, I hope it will be useful. Before the problem occurred, I found a lot of methods, but it was useless. Basically, it was useless to set up system services. Finally, I found the following method to be effective;

1. First, you need to find (virtual machine name) in your virtual machine installation directory. Note that it is not the VMware installation directory. Find the vmx virtual machine configuration file and open it with Notepad, as shown below:

2. Find the line usb.restrictions.defaultAllow = "FALSE" and change it to usb.restrictions.defaultAllow = "TRUE". (If there is no line, add a line yourself). At this time, you should pay attention to shutting down VMware completely. Also, be careful not to mistype the word TRUE.

 3. After saving, restart and check whether the interface has changed. If it is not gray, it will be fine.

4. Open the terminal and input cheese to run, you can call up the camera interface.
