MIL software installation

MIL software download and acquisition

1. Matrox official download: Matrox Imaging Library X

2. Use the network disk, the network disk provided by the third-party company to download: MILX64-bit installation package , extraction code: D391

Explain the license problem of mil:

• If you purchase the image acquisition card of Matron, including cameralink and cxp acquisition card, use the streaming interface in the mil software to obtain images from the camera, this part is completely free

• If you need to use mil's image processing operator, you need to purchase a dongle license separately

MIL software installation

1. Unzip the MIL installation package, click MilSetup.exe to start the installation, as shown in the figure below;
   
   Note: 32-bit and 64-bit clients can be installed at the same time for the 64-bit system MIL software, this document installs the 64-bit client by default, and the 64-bit system installs 32-bit The MIL method will be discussed later (it is not recommended to use this method, it is very troublesome)
2. Click Launch Installation to start the installation, 64-bit system, only 64-bit MIL client is installed by default
   
3. According to the capture card driver, select Matrox Rapixo CXP, click Next
   

Note: The commonly used coaxpress capture card is the rapixo series, and the radient series is not excluded. Check
4. Modify the non-paged memory according to the model of your card. The default is 32MB, and the modification is 256MB or 1024MB or higher; other installation interfaces default The next step is to complete the installation, and then restart the computer

Note: The size of the non-paged memory depends on the image resolution of the camera, generally set to 1024MB
5. After the software is installed successfully, you can check the model of the capture card and the capture card in the device manager The mapped port number.

6. Upgrade the firmware of the capture card (the capture card is used for the first time on the PC, and the firmware needs to be upgraded).

Before upgrading, you need to close other MIL-related programs except MIL Firmware Updater, and click [updatupdate]

After the upgrade is complete, please shut down and restart Boot up** (not a soft restart of the computer, but a shutdown)**
7.rapixo plug-in installation
Install the mxu100b44x64.rar driver, download address Extraction password: KvKn

According to the system prompts, restart the computer to complete the driver update installation.

software use

Before using the software, make sure that the data link between the camera and the capture card is correctly connected

• Take the Rapixo capture card as an example, configure the CXP camera MV-CH650-90XM-F-NF on the MIL side, the camera has 4 CoaXPress interfaces, and can transmit data through 1, 2 or 4 CoaXPress interfaces, and the 0, 1, 2, 3 ports correspond to 1, 2, 3, 4 ports on the camera side one by one, to ensure that the CXP link between the camera and the capture card is connected correctly;

Haikang MVS client use

Open the MVS software, right-click [GenTL] in the client and click "Select cti file"
to select the corresponding CTI path: C:\Program Files\Matrox Imaging\Drivers\GenICam\GenTL\Producer\Win64

MIL-X software use

• Open the software and click MIL Config;
  
• Set Non-Paged Memory to prevent insufficient cache prompt when taking pictures (restart the computer after the setting is completed to make the setting take effect, only need to set it once);
  
• After entering the page, select the corresponding capture card, [Rapixo CXP 0];
  
• After restarting, click on MIL and select Matrox Intellicam; after entering the page, click the New button in the upper left corner.
  Taking CXP area scan camera as an example, select CXP_FRAMESCAN, and click [OK];
• The enumerated cameras will be displayed on the DCF interface, and the corresponding models can be selected for multiple cameras;
  
• Click the property setting button to see various parameter settings of the camera;
  
• Click CoaXPress->Link Configuration to select the correct number of Links, which are 1, 2, and 4 Links (just match the number of connected CXP cables);
  
• Before taking the stream, confirm that the trigger mode is off in Acquisition Control;
  
  after the setting is complete, click on continuous acquisition or single image capture to preview the image;
