On-board testing - you need to know what readback software is all about!

In the past two years, the coldness of testing practitioners has caused many people to lose their direction.

Some people want to change careers;

Some people want to continue to cultivate;

But everyone is saying, if winter comes, can spring be far behind?

What you are going through right now, whether it is early winter or early spring, the ordeal you are going through, how hard is the hardest.

The purpose of this blog post is to share the technical knowledge of on-board testing, and to all those who work hard in the on-board testing industry.

Readback is the process of reading out all data in the internal configuration memory.

If the vehicle test encounters problems such as black screen and not turning on, how can we distinguish whether it is due to hardware or software.

At this time, you can read back the software partition of the faulty machine, and then burn it to the car machine that can start normally to see if the host machine starts normally.

If the car machine starts up normally, it means that the faulty machine is caused by hardware and the black screen cannot be started.

On the contrary, it is a software problem.

Then burn each normal partition and locate the software problem partition.

  1. Take a look at the face of the host programming software in the automotive industry

  1. Open the burning tool (generally self-developed by car companies)

Select "Readback" in the menu bar, and then create a new partition name.

For example, if you want to read back the boot file, select the add button.

You can name the boot and save it on the desktop.

Start to modify the two address numbers "Start Address" and "Length".

The address number needs to be found in the programming software package.

Burn a file in the software package to view the partition boot address number.

Fill the Start Address with 0x124f00000,

Fill Length with 0x2000000.

Click the OK button again.

  1. Click the readback button, the display is as follows

4. Connect the programming wiring harness, the USB of the car is in device mode, and power on again. It shows that the checking software has read back.
