We named this Workshop Perform Workshop because it will simulate the complete process of migrating an enterprise database to OceanBase. Participants will experience many links such as data migration, cutover, and OceanBase to downstream link synchronization, compressing the complex migration process into 2 hours in proportion.
Here, we have arranged a product experience session for you. You can practice the whole process of migrating MySQL to OceanBase, try the CDC-based incremental data verification capability exclusively provided by OMS (OceanBase Migration Service, OceanBase data migration tool) , and discover in real time Data quality issues continue to escort the business cutover.
In this workshop, after you experience data migration on site, you can also try to synchronize OceanBase data to the message queue Kafka through OMS for consumption in various downstream scenarios. If you feel that you need to change the code to synchronize downstream consumption with Kafka, OceanBase also provides stronger MySQL compatibility—the Binlog protocol is fully compatible: after you migrate your online business from MySQL to OceanBase, downstream consumption based on MySQL Binlog (such as Canal, Flink CDC, etc.) can also be seamlessly switched to OceanBase, which greatly reduces the transformation cost and relieves your worries.
