Markup Import markup import
The first feature that got me interested in AutoCAD 2024 in the first place was Marker Import on the Tracks panel.
This feature has been significantly improved with the accuracy of coverage tracking. It allows PDFs to be marked up or redlined and then overlaid on DWG in sheet or model space via the Traces Palette.
The second key enhancement in AutoCAD 2024 is Activity Insights, which is an improvement to drawing history.
From a CAD administrator's point of view, this is a very useful enhancement, as it will allow monitoring all activities of the drawing progress.
It also has some useful tools such as editing, saving, external referencing, etc., and how to record them in the changing drawing. These activities are logged by user, function, and date, and can be reviewed and filtered at any stage to view or clarify activity.
In the example below, I've created a filter to display the time and date when I, as a user, created a review. An important thing to note here is that if the drawing is renamed in Windows Explorer, e.g. outside of AutoCAD, this is also logged.
