The most basic solution needs to integrate these three parts of estimation. Among them, video surveillance storage is generally calculated by hardware manufacturers, network traffic is calculated by operators, and power consumption needs to be estimated by integrators or power departments. Chapter 1 Video Surveillance Storage

There are different suppliers for each part of the monitoring, and the integrators of each manufacturer will be slightly different. It needs to be estimated before the detailed design of the project. You can refer to the following calculation method for estimation.

The following summarizes the conventional calculation methods of some manufacturers: the calculation of video surveillance storage capacity mainly involves three categories: snapshot pictures, video storage, and data storage; on-site demand confirmation is required before calculation.

1.1 Detailed Calculation Instructions

[Calculation of snapped pictures]

The types of pictures captured by the camera are mainly face pictures, body pictures and vehicle pictures. The unit for estimating image storage is KB.

In general, a 400W pixel camera:

Single snapshot picture (large picture): 880KB;

A single face image (small image): 50KB; a single human body image (small image): 80KB    

The number of ordinary pictures captured is 3000, and the utilization rate is 80%;

Single day: 880/1024/1024/1024*3000 (sheets)*1 (day)*1 (way)/80%=0.003TB (3.14GB)

30 days: 880/1024/1024/1024*3000*30 (day)*1 (road)/80%=0.09TB

In general, in the industry, large images are stored for 90 days, and small images are stored for 30 days;

【Video streaming storage estimation】

The calculation unit of camera video surveillance and storage video is bps, and the storage b needs to be replaced by B /8, and the video storage in a bunch of industries is 30 days or 90 days; the storage of video streams is calculated according to the camera pixels.

General video surveillance is calculated according to the national standard H264 encoding rules, H265 is a non-national standard encoding, which is also used in the industry;

Storage capacity of a single real-time video (TB) = [video stream size (Mb) x 60 seconds x 60 minutes x 24 hours x storage days/8]/1024/1024

Calculation example:

1 channel of 200w equipment, national standard H264 encoding and calculation of 4M bandwidth, storage for 30 days, utilization rate of 80%, requires 1.54TB;

      4*60*60*24*30/8/1024/1024/80%=1.54TB

1 channel of 400w equipment, national standard H264 encoding and calculation of 8M bandwidth, storage for 30 days, utilization rate of 80%, requires 3.08TB;

      8*60*60*24*30/8/1024/1024/80%=3.08TB

1 channel of 400w equipment, national standard H265 encoding and calculation of 4M bandwidth, storage for 30 days, utilization rate of 80%, requires 1.54TB;

The 400W camera bandwidth is calculated according to 4M, and the storage is 30 days; 4*60*60*24*30 (day)*1 (way)/8/1024/1024/80%=1.54TB

【Storage event record database】 

  For a small amount of data storage, it is necessary to use the database of the solid-state disk SSD, and the calculation method (for example, the calculation of the search data volume)

Each piece of data is stored for 30 days according to 20KB (computation method in the industry), and corresponding to each channel is calculated according to 3000 pieces of picture data. The daily data volume = 20*3000 (item) *1 (channel) *30 (day)/1024/1024/ 1024=0.002TB(1.7GB)

According to the national standard H264 encoding bandwidth of 2 million pixel camera is 4Mb, H265 encoding bandwidth is 2Mb;

According to the national standard H264 encoding bandwidth of 4 million pixel camera is 8Mb, H265 encoding bandwidth is 4Mb;

Chapter 2 Network Bandwidth

The network bandwidth calculation is mainly for the video streaming network bandwidth calculation:

2.1 Daily usage of network traffic

Preliminary estimate: 0.02G per minute, 1.2G per hour, 22G per day;

Calculate traffic by pixel by day: (H265);

  IPC single camera: 200W bandwidth according to 2M/S, 2*60*60*24/1024/8= 22G  

  IPC single camera: 400W bandwidth according to 4M/S, 4*60*60*24/1024/8= 42G  

  IPC multi-cam: 200W +400W = 64G

  Ball machine single point: 22G;

  Thermal imaging single point: thermal imaging 1M, visible light normal calculation 3*60*60*24/1024/8= 31G  

  2.2 Single point bandwidth calculation

Calculate traffic by pixel by day: (H264);

  IPC single camera: 200W bandwidth according to 4M/S;

  IPC single camera: 400W bandwidth according to 8M/S;

Calculate traffic by pixel by day: (H265);

  IPC single camera: 200W bandwidth according to 2M/S;

  IPC single camera: 400W bandwidth according to 4M/S;

Chapter 3 Power Consumption

Estimate: 1 IPC consumes 0.36 degrees of electricity per day;

Calculate power consumption by power consumption:

  IPC single camera: 15W *24=360W (0.36 degrees)

  IPC multi-camera: 30W *24=720W (0.72 degrees)

  Ball machine single point: 60W *24=1440W (1.44 degrees)

  Thermal imaging single point: 130W *24=3120W (3.12 degrees)

 1KW Trial 1 hour consumes 1 degree of power;

Common product power consumption reference:

ONU power: 20W;
Chassis power: 30W;
