1. Post-production workflow
Post-production is a multi-tasking process, with mastering the original video and sound elements. The front end of this process is offloading raw content from expensive camera storage so it can be deployed again in production. Multiple copies of content are also required to support editorial workflow, distribution to producers, and data protection.

2. Asset Integration
Since film sequences and footage need to be consolidated from multiple sources and processed in parallel, the RDX® QuikStation™ is a capable alternative. The RDX QuikStation is a removable disk array with four or eight RDX drives and connects to an existing network via iSCSI. With native file system operations, RDX storage technology can be easily integrated into media asset management (MAM) systems. Each RDX drive is an iSCSI target and is presented to the server as a local disk drive, recognized by the MAM application.

3. Editing and Mastering
Completing digital content is often a time-critical task. Video sequences can arrive late at the editing studio, so mastering must be done at the last minute, and work can continue well into the night.
