Google Earth Engine (GEE) - U.S. tile-drained farmland (30m)

Tile-drained farmland (30 m)
Tile drainage is one of the most dominant agricultural management methods in the United States and has expanded considerably since the late 1990s. It has been shown to have an effect on the balance of surface waters and the quantity and quality of water flows on a local scale. The impact of tile drainage on crop production, hydrology, and the environment is elusive at a regional scale due to the lack of high-resolution, spatially explicit tile drainage area information in the contiguous United States. We utilized a geospatial model with soil drainage information and terrain slope as input to develop a 30-m resolution tile drainage map of the most likely tile drainage areas in the United States (AgTile-US) from county-level tile drainage censuses. Validation of AgTile-US with 16,000 ground truth points shows a nationwide accuracy of 86.03%. Foreword – Bed Length AI Tutorial in the heavily drained Midwest of the United States with an accuracy ranging from 82.7% to 93.6%. These data can be used to study and model hydrological and water quality responses to tile drainage and to enhance flow prediction in areas dominated by tile drainage.
