Indicators refer to a quantitative statistical method for analyzing transactions from multiple angles. We can quickly analyze and gain insights by switching dimensions and chart types.
Dimension refers to the angle of observing data, which can be used to describe the attributes or characteristics of objects, such as commodity types.
Through attribution analysis, we can understand how each dimension causes the fluctuation of the indicator.
Here we can view the detailed definition of the indicator, such as model, column, aggregation method and dimension.
On the right panel, we can view the owner, usage and description of the indicator.
Self-Service Analysis Correlation Metrics
By adjusting the filter items on the left, you can view indicators from different perspectives, and the dashboard changes in real time.
Dashboard is a collection of multiple visual data reports to help you observe indicator data from multiple dimensions, and the report types support column charts, line charts, pie charts, etc.
Click Edit in the upper right corner, and you can complete the creation and editing of dashboards by simply dragging and dropping the mouse. For details, see here .
Metrics-based management by objectives
By adding sub-goals, ensure the achievement of the overall goal.
Goals are the results that an organization or team wants to achieve within a certain period of time. You can use Kyligence Zen to refer to indicators to achieve goal quantification and align with the overall goal of the team. In addition, you can create more sub-goals to promote the overall goal achieved.
Bind the indicator with the target, set the target value, and automatically calculate the progress of the target.
Mark the status of the goal according to the progress to facilitate communication and collaboration within the organization.
Create an indicator
Click New on the Metrics page. create indicators
Select the type of metric to create. Kyligence Zen provides a variety of indicator types to meet complex data analysis needs:
- Basic indicators : Usually used to quantify and count the performance of products or businesses, such as the overall cloud cost indicator we will create.
- Derived indicators : calculated around a single basic indicator, which can be combined with attributes such as dimensions, statistics, or management, such as cloud cost month-on-month indicators.
- Composite indicators : calculated around multiple basic indicators (such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division), such as cloud cost ratio indicators.
The column is selected from the data source table, which is the main data tracked by this indicator, and the aggregation is the operation on this column.
Example: select the column order_net_profit in the table retail_stores_by_transaction, and the aggregation method SUM represents the sum of the net profit of the order.
Dimensions provide an analysis perspective for metrics.
Example: The dimensions store_region and order_date indicate that in future analysis, the net profit can be viewed according to the time trend and by different store regions.
Select the time dimension of the DATE type, and you can see the time trend graph of the indicator.
Finally, click Create, and it will prompt that the creation is successful.

On the Kyligenze Zen platform, click Indicators on the top menu bar, and click Export on the right side of the page.
In the displayed dialog box, select the indicators to be exported and click Next.
Select the associated target to export and click Next.

On the Metrics page, click the drop-down arrow on the right of New and select Import Metrics. In the dialog box that pops up, upload the file we exported earlier, and click Next.
