Thanks to Teacher Zhang Peng for giving a practical lecture on social skills. I specially made some notes (including some of my understanding):
1. Organize your appearance to make others feel good, and try not to wear fancy clothes. My understanding: Appearance is the first impression you give to others, and it needs to be taken seriously.
2. Keep a good expression, preferably a light smile.
3. Stay focused during the communication process, listen attentively to what others say, and interact in a timely manner. My understanding: Concentration can show others that he (or she) is important to you.
4. Maintain a positive and decent movement. Appropriateness depends on the occasion and is neither overly enthusiastic nor overly cold.
5. Maintain the necessary etiquette. The key point is to maintain equality.
6. Maintain a good attitude: Sincere, neither humble nor overbearing, neither arrogant nor impetuous, not overly humble, and an efficient and concise communication style. My understanding: The standards of expression, movement and attitude are quite consistent.
7. Adjust in time. Make timely adjustments based on the performance of the other party. If the other party is not interested in the topic, change the topic. If the views are inconsistent to avoid conflicts, you can also change the topic of communication.
8. Pay attention to the farewell. Make sure your performance is consistent from the beginning to the farewell, and stay warm and sincere throughout.
9. Give timely thanks. Thank you by sending a message.
10. Reflect. Reflect on your actions and outcomes after the relationship is over. There are two ways: one is to get feedback from the actual effect, and the other is to get feedback from the interviewer or peers.
11. How to improve your social skills level. The biggest enemy of social media is the mobile phone. Reduce cell phone communication and increase face-to-face communication.
12. Reduce the use of mobile phones during the communication process, and participate in more large-scale communication activities to exercise yourself.
13. The quality of communication depends on your knowledge, interests and your point of view. My understanding: It is very important to pay attention to enriching yourself, including news and knowledge from all walks of life.
